Lookin’ Like a Snack!
Hey Y’all! Today I want to write a little bit about the #1 nutrition question I get asked when working with a client. Eating a well balanced diet and working and maintaining a social life and (still) navigating a global pandemic can be really tricky. But, with a few little tips and tricks, you can definitely eat a variety of nutritious foods even with a busy schedule.
So, what is the #1 nutrition question I get asked: How do I stop snacking late at night? If this is a habit you’ve fallen into, you’re not alone! Many of my clients express that they tend to eat well throughout their day, but right before bed, all they want are sweets. To start, I suggest listening to your hunger cues. Are you really hungry? Or tired from a long day? Or anticipating tomorrow?
Before reaching for a snack, try to pinpoint why you are reaching for it. If you’re hungry, then eat! Our bodies will tell us when they are hungry, but sometimes we might just be feeling a different emotion. The more we can be in tune with our bodies, the more we can better understand these cues.
